...and its been my whole life.
From the age of 3 till now sports and physical activity have been my forte, my passion, and ultimately my whole life. I was a All State 110 Meter High Hurdler and an All State Running back in Highschool, which needless to say was my entire reason for existing at the time in my eyes. I ate and breathed those sports and wanted to go as far as I could in them. Long story short, in October of 2014 my senior year, I tore my ACL and Meniscus in our 3rd game of the football season. Reality hit finally, all scholarships and potential I had worked so hard for and dedicated my life to had been taken off the table, and I was now just a regular Highschooler graduating. It broke me, and I vowed to get myself back to be able to walk on at some college somewhere. I worked through rehab and worked to become better than I was before and then reality check #2 hit. I needed a full shoulder reconstruction due to the abuse it had endured throughout my football years. Again we were back to square one. Then my life truly started.
Through all of the years needing to rehab and strengthen my body, I fell in love with the process and the amazing ways in which we can alter our physical self and take control of our inhibitions. I started helping fellow athletes and anyone around me with anything regarding health, physical wellness and performance. I sought out a personal training certification, a nutrition certification, and began taking what I had been through and turned into aid for others.
In comes bodybuilding.
I decided to compete as a classic physique competitor, where I could put my knowledge and body to the test yet again. Through my experience of dieting and intensive training, I not only found a new sport I could thrive in and love, but I also found another way in which I could further my knowledge and continue to help those around me.
Though life did not go where I had wanted it to, (who's life really ever does?) I found a place where I belong, and a platform from which I could make the world around me even better.
